Report: An Empirical Study of the Transmission of Healing Energy via the Internet by Francesca McCartney, Ph.D.
This research studies the intentional encapsulation of healing energies into an email text message and transmission of these energies via the Internet to an intuitive recipient. This study researches the potential for incorporating such practices in the field of energy medicine distance education. This study sought to test information transmission in non-linear, non-local communication and to explore an implied evolution of the sense of intuition. Distance education and intuitive communication are both non-linear, non-local systems of information exchange. Internet email can hold intentional sensorial resonance, and can be used as a carrier of information. An intuitive person can open an email and receive the emotional and cognitive content of its senders intentionally encapsulated information. The internet is an evolving ecological system that captures and holds human thought in digital format; and transcends time and space. The World Wide Web, global village has been woven of intuitive and multi-media communications. This small-world entanglement affects an energetic field connection between people. This study information gives new significance to distance healing research within the medical, parapsychology, and noetic sciences. It also seeks to inspire and identify fertile areas for further cross-disciplinary exploration. The main outcome measures are simple binomial success rates, reported as percentages. In this research study, success is defined as both the correct detection and correct identification of the encapsulated information by the test subjects. Main results: Relative to a 25% chance of success, the Total Success Rate is 31.9%, which supports the research hypothesis.
